BORICUA NOSTALGIA, Preserving Our Special Places by Manu Garcia

In Puerto Rico, there used to be numerous spaces dedicated to children's enjoyment that have since disappeared due to a lack of interest and resources from our government. My project seeks to raise awareness about these special places that I cherished in my youth and share my personal connections and experiences with them. My initiative involves a mobile space that will travel around the island,not only to showcase and collect the experiences of PuertoRicans and their childhood special places but also to allow younger generations to interact with the places showcased in my exhibit and open conversations about their ideal places of enjoyment, connection, and community.
